
Fall Sports Broadcast Schedule Unveiled

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – With the BIG EAST Conference announcing the 2018 Fall broadcast schedule for the BIG EAST Digital Network, the Seton Hall fall sports broadcast slate is now complete. The Pirates will be featured on the BEDN 18 times throughout the fall season, with men's and women's soccer, volleyball and cross country all having events air on the network via FOX Sports GO. In addition, every HOME contest that does not appear on the BEDN will air live and FREE on the newly enhanced Pirate Sports Network available through SHUPirates.com.
BIG EAST Digital Network coverage begins for Seton Hall with the men's soccer league opener at rival St. John's on Sept. 15. The local derby marks the first of eight men's soccer matches for The Hall that will air on the BEDN. Women's soccer debuts with its first of six BEDN broadcasts on Sept. 22 against DePaul, while the first of volleyball's three matches on the network takes place on Sept. 29 at St. John's. Cross country will make its lone appearance on the BEDN for the BIG EAST Championship on Oct. 27.
The Pirates could also appear five more times on the BEDN, with the first round and semifinals of the men's and women's soccer championships as well as the volleyball semifinals airing on the network.
BEDN, launched in September 2014, is its own dedicated channel within the FOX Sports app, the mobile app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go. Streaming on the FOX Sports app is now available on several connected devices, including Apple TV, Roku and Chromecast. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store. In addition, FOX Sports also encompasses FOX Sports Digital, including http://FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports app, which provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content, with instant scores, the latest stats and real-time alerts available to iOS and Android devices.
Pirate Sports Network coverage begins with the very first event of the 2018-19 season, the women's soccer home opener against Delaware on Aug. 19. In total, 22 contests across men's and women's soccer and volleyball will air on the PSN this fall.
Thanks to a partnership with Rush Media, the Pirate Sports Network will feature several key upgrades for the 2018-19 season. PSN broadcasts will include an enhanced graphics package, improved cameras, upgraded replay functions and much more. The Pirate Sports Network is almost entirely run by Seton Hall students who are eager to develop a career in television, live production and broadcasting.
