
Pirates Register Convincing Victory at Monmouth

West Long Branch, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team delivered a 146-93 victory at Monmouth on Thursday night in a non-conference dual meet.
Junior Casey Young (Macungie, Pa.) set the tone out of the gate with a victory in the 1000 free (10:56.44), her first individual collegiate win.
Junior Theresa Hutton (Stony Point, N.Y.) continued her hot start in the second half of the season with a win in the 100 free with a time of 55.35.
In the 200 free relay, the quartet of senior Courtney McCardle (Hurley, N.Y.), junior Jordan Decker (Mason, Ohio), sophomore Amelia Wootton (Bethel, Conn.) and junior Clara Capone (West Hartford, Conn.) registered a winning time of 1:40.24.
Sophomore Taylor Jackson (Thornton, Colo.) returned to action and won both the 1 & 3-meter dives in exhibition with respective scores of 254.10 and 263.77.
Looking ahead, the Pirates return to action on Friday, Jan. 25 against St. Peter's at 3 p.m. inside the Richie Regan Rec Center on campus.
