Turning Point
Florida A&M hung around with the Pirates for the first 27 minutes of the game, but the Pirates proved to be too much. With a 47-38 lead but struggling to get momentum, The Hall finally turned the tide when freshman Tyrese Samuel (Montreal, Quebec) made a basket, and Rhoden created a steal and then finished a Powell miss with a put-back dunk. McKnight then picked up a steal of his own and found Powell for an easy layup to push the lead to 15.
Then the Pirates went on a 9-1 run to finally push the lead into the 20s, and the defense did the rest, holding the Rattlers without a field goal for a near seven-minute stretch.
