Seton Hall Athletics Moves to All-Mobile Ticketing
7/23/2020 10:15:00 AM | General, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
South Orange, N.J. -Â Seton Hall University Athletics has announced that moving forward all tickets to gain entry into men's and women's basketball home games will be fully digital, which will help to make entry to Prudential Center and Walsh Gymnasium safer and easier for fans.
Â
This transition to digital ticketing through a smartphone will also help to make ticket transactions more secure while reducing fraud and counterfeiting. Tickets will be easily accessible through the SHU Pirates Mobile App, available to all iOS and Android devices, beginning a few weeks prior to the start of the 2020-21 season.
Â
"Mobile ticketing has become the industry standard in sports, and we believe this is the right time to implement this program," said Director of Athletics & Recreation Bryan Felt. "Mobile ticketing will make the entry experience more convenient and efficient for our fans, and in these unique times as we battle the COVID-19 pandemic, mobile ticketing promotes health and safety for all. We're excited to take on this initiative, and we will be diligent in educating our fans on the process. I highly encourage everyone to download the SHU Pirates Mobile App onto their smartphone to begin familiarizing themselves with the platform with the added benefit of staying informed on all things Seton Hall Athletics."
Â
As a result of this transition to mobile ticketing, the PDF or "print at home" option is no longer available; purchasers or recipients of the tickets must have a smartphone to access their mobile ticket(s). It is recommended that the recipients of the mobile tickets add them to their smartphone's wallet or passbook to allow them to quickly access their mobile tickets on gameday in the event of limited cellular reception or Wi-Fi service.
Â
For any Pirates season ticket holders who do not have access to a smartphone, please contact the Seton Hall Athletics Ticket Office by phone at 973-275-4255 or by email at tickets@shu.edu, so that other arrangements can be made. More details and instructions will be sent out at a later date.
