
Seton Hall Reaches Another Academic Record High After Successful Fall

South Orange, N.J. - Seton Hall student-athletes continue to impress in the classroom, finishing the Fall 2020 semester with a department-record high 3.491 grade point average. This is an increase after finishing the Spring 2020 semester at 3.464. All 14 varsity programs boast cumulative GPAs above 3.0.
Seton Hall's department GPA has now increased in 20 of the last 21 semesters dating back to 2010. The department's GPA after the 2010-11 season was 3.174.
Additionally, 169 student-athletes made the Seton Hall Dean's List during the Fall 2020 semester, representing 64 percent of the student-athlete population. To achieve Dean's List designation, students must have a 3.4 GPA or higher during the semester.
"Congratulations to all of our student-athletes, coaches and administrators for another triumphant achievement in the classroom," Seton Hall Director of Athletics & Recreation Bryan Felt said. "We are determined as a department to enrich the lives of our student-athletes and prepare them to become our world's next leaders; this academic success indicates our men and women are well on their way to great things."
All 14 programs currently boast GPAs above 3.1 with seven of the 14 teams above 3.5. The volleyball program is currently sporting the best GPA in the department at 3.706. Men's soccer has the highest GPA among the male sports at 3.663.
In the Fall 2020 semester, women's tennis produced an eye-opening 3.822 GPA to lead the department. Men's soccer again led all the men's programs with a 3.731 GPA in the semester. Eight of the department's 14 teams had semester GPAs above 3.5.
