
Seton Hall’s 2021-22 Schedule Now Complete

NEW YORK – The Seton Hall men's basketball team will kick off a 20-game conference slate on Monday, Dec. 20 when the Pirates host St. John's at Prudential Center as the BIG EAST announced the full league schedule for the 2021-22 season on Thursday.
Season tickets for all 16 men's basketball games at Prudential Center are on sale both for the general population and for Seton Hall University students by visiting SetonHallTix.com/seasontickets. For additional season ticket information, call the ticket office at (973) 275-4255. Mini-plans and single-game tickets will go on sale later this fall. All tickets in 2021-22 are mobile, and fans can download the SHU Pirates mobile app on all iOS and Android smartphones to manage their tickets via account manager.
Led by 12th year head coach Kevin Willard, the Pirates return four of their top six scorers from last season, add four transfers who have combined for over 1,400 career Div. I points scored and bring in a top-25 rated freshman recruiting class that will help Seton Hall once again compete for another conference championship and NCAA Tournament bid.

Here are some notes about the 2021-22 schedule:
- After an abnormal schedule last season, the Pirates will play all 10 BIG EAST teams in a 20-game, double round-robin format in 2021-22.
- Seton Hall will begin its conference schedule at home on Dec. 20 against St. John's for the third time in the last four seasons.
- Before The Hall's league opener against the Red Storm last season on Dec. 11, 2020, the Pirates' earliest conference opener took place on Dec. 9, 1998 against Villanova.
- The Pirates have won the last seven meetings against the Johnnies at the Prudential Center.
- Following St. John's, the Pirates' next two conference home games will be against Villanova on Saturday, Jan. 1 and Connecticut on Saturday, Jan. 8 with a trip to Hinkle Fieldhouse against Butler in between on Jan. 4.
- Seton Hall will host Creighton at Prudential Center on Friday, Feb. 4, the lone BIG EAST contest on the schedule on that date.
- Later in the season, The Hall will face the Wildcats and the Huskies in back-to-back games on the road on Feb. 12 and Feb. 16, respectively.
- Seton Hall's final conference game of the year is on the road for the seventh time in the last nine years and at Creighton for the second time in three seasons.
- The Pirates will play Villanova at Wells Fargo Center for the fourth time in the last five years and will play St. John's at Madison Square Garden for the sixth time in the last seven years.
- The BIG EAST Tournament Presented by Jeep will be played in Madison Square Garden for the 40th consecutive year. Won by the Pirates three times, most recently in 2016, it is the longest running postseason championship in college basketball at the same venue.
- Since 2016, Seton Hall is 3-0 vs. non-conference opponents and 12-5 overall at "The World's Most Famous Arena."
