
Pirates Shatter 200 Medley Relay Record on Night One

East Meadow, N.Y. – The relay team of Ross Pantano (Bennington, Neb.), Gennarino Conzemius (Bethel Park, Pa.), Justin Oosterwyk (Pequannock, N.J.) and Thomas Minar (Oxford, Conn.) set a new program-record with a first-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay on day one of the 2022 BIG EAST Championships on Wednesday. The team combined to touch the wall in a time of 1:27.89 breaking the previous school record of 1:29.08 set in 2020.
In addition to the first-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay, the Pirates also picked up a third-place finish in the 800 Free Relay as the team of Gideon Langenbusch (Oberhausen, Germany), Minar, Gaige Ryan (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) and Ben LaClair (Belchertown, Mass.) finished in a time of 6:36.47.
Seton Hall currently finds themselves tied for first atop the standings with Georgetown at 72 points apiece.

The Pirates will be back at it for day two of the BIG EAST swimming and diving championships tomorrow. Tomorrow's schedule of events will be as follows: 500 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free, 1M Dive and 200 Free Relay. The championships are being streamed live on FloSwimming.
