
Minar, Vizzard, Pantano, Murtha Help Lead Pirates on Day Two

Freshman Sean Vizzard (Mount Laurel, N.J.) picked up a third-place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 4:25.43. Vizzard was able to shave off four seconds from his prelim time to set a new personal-best time in the process. Gideon Langenbusch (Oberhausen, Germany) also set a new personal-best time in the event as he finished the 500 Free Consolation Final in a time of 4:30.37.

In the 200 IM Championship Final, Ross Pantano (Bennington, Neb.) set a new personal-best time of 1:48.09. That time was good enough for a fourth-place finish in the event. Henry Keegan (Needham, Mass.) also set a new personal-best time with a finish of 1:53.78 in the consolation final.

In addition to Minar's third-place finish in the 50 Free, Justin Oosterwyk (Pequannock, N.J.) also had a string showing with a personal-best time of 21.05 in the Consolation Final. Oosterwyk also picked up a second-place finish in the event.

On the boards, Quinn Murtha (Cumming, Ga.) led The Hall with a 12-dive score of 525.50 in the 1M Dive. Murtha was able to take home a fourth-place finish in the event for the Pirates.
Seton Hall currently finds themselves in fourth place in the team standings with 180 points.

The Pirates will be back at it for day three of the BIG EAST swimming and diving championships tomorrow. Tomorrow's schedule of events will be as follows: 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Back, 1M Dive, 400 Medley Relay. The championships are being streamed live on FloSwimming.
