Queens, N.Y. - The Seton Hall women's tennis team battled St. John's in BIG EAST action but fell to the Red Storm, 7-0, Friday afternoon at the US Tennis Center.

The teams played clinch rule at doubles, and the Red Storm winning at No. 2 and No. 3 forced No. 1 to end before the Pirates could win. Junior Arina Gumerova and freshman Arabella Moen were leading 5-4 when St. John's clinched.

Senior Chloe Hamlin was the only player to win a set in singles. She forced a third set at No. 2 singles before falling.

The Pirates will be back in action Sunday evening when they host Siena at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness at 6 p.m.
