
Pirates Battle Hard in Road Loss to Delaware

Newark, Del. – Seton Hall men's swimming and diving were handed a loss on Saturday afternoon, 183-116, on the road at Delaware.
Michael Klimaszewski (London, England) had a strong afternoon for the Pirates, winning each of the fly events. The freshman touched the wall first in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:51.00, while he won the 100 Fly later in the meet with a time of 48.78. In both races, Justin Oosterwyk (Pequannock, N.J.) claimed third place.
Fellow freshman Kevin Cary (West Chester, Pa.) was able to take the top spot in the 200 Free for the second time in as many days. Cary won the event in 1:41.33, just slightly faster than his winning time at NJIT from Friday. Cary would later take second place in the 500 Free, just ahead of Sean Vizzard (Mount Laurel, N.J.) who finished third. Vizzard preceded his 500 Free finish with a first place time in the 1000 Free, posting a time of 9:31.64.
Klimaszewski and Cary would add a win in the 400 Free Relay later in the afternoon, combining with Ben LaClair (Belchertown, Mass.) and Thomas Minar (Oxford, Conn.) for a time of 3:05.44.
Minar and Ross Pantano (Bennington, Neb.) each nabbed a pair of second-place times on the day. Minar finished second in the 50 Free with a time of 21.51, while his time of 47.21 in the 100 Free also placed him on the podium. Pantano performed well in the backstroke events, taking second in the 100 Back in 51.31 before clocking a time of 1:52.12 in the 200 Back.
Quinn Murtha (Cumming, Ga.) was able to capture the win in the 1-meter with a total score of 296.33. It marks Murtha's first win of the season in the 1-meter and second victory overall.
The Pirates return to Arthur E. Imperatore Natatorium next Saturday at 1 p.m. as they will celebrate Senior Day against Georgetown.
