Manchester, Conn. - The Seton Hall women's tennis team concluded the 2023-24 regular season at UConn, falling to the Huskies, 7-0, Friday at Magic Lincer Tennis Club.
"I am really proud of our girls for continuing to fight hard in our final match of the season, " said Seton Hall head coach James Enzler. "We played well on Tuesday against Villanova, but the one thing I challenged them to work on today was eliminating the helplessness we feel when a few games don't go our way. I think they did a very good job of staying mentally focused in the match and being present within the points from start to finish. I'm personally so excited for the BIG EAST Tournament next week and seeing what these girls can do to finish the season."
Seton Hall had two matches go to a third set; Imogen Brooker was pushed to a third at No. 2, and Aina Plana Ventosa forced a third at No. 3.
The BIG EAST Tournament takes place April 18-21 in Cayce, S.C., and the Pirates will learn their first-round draw early next week.
