
Nelson Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Junior Rylee Nelson (Mazeppa, Minn.) was named to the Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators.

In order to qualify for the prestigious All-District Team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.50 grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and must have played in at least 90 percent of her team's contests or started 66 percent.

Nelson was one of the best liberos in the BIG EAST Conference in 2025, averaging a team-best 3.76 digs per set. This season, she collected her first two career double-doubles and had three matches with at least 20 digs. In the season finale, Nelson matched her career-high with 24 digs in a four-set effort against St. John's. With 833 career digs, she's poised to reach the prestigious 1,000-digs milestone during her senior year. In the classroom, Nelson is a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team member and maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
