NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The BIG EAST Conference has announced that the Seton Hall men's soccer program has been recognized with 2024-25 Team Academic Excellence Awards for compiling the highest collective grade-point averages in each conference sport.
Seton Hall is one of seven BIG EAST full member institutions to have at least one team selected for an award. The winners were chosen based on the 2024-25 grade-point average of each student-athlete who appeared on an institution's roster as of the last contest of the championship segment in each conference-sponsored sport.
Men's soccer posted its third-straight winning season en route to a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament in 2024. Off the back of a dominant 8-1-0 home record, the team collected its first double-digit win season since The Hall's 2020 BIG EAST Championship-winning season. The Pirates produced one of the best defensive seasons in program history, earning Seton Hall top 30 ranks in all of Division I in goals allowed average (1.000) and shutout percentage (.444). Â
