NEW YORK – After a pool record-setting weekend, senior Kevin Cary (West Chester, Pa.) has been named BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
In the Pirates' 143.5-97.5 victory over Villanova, the senior touched the wall first in the 200 (1:39.22) and 100 freestyle (45.15) events and contributed to the winning 200 free relay team to close out the meet. With that mark in the 200 free, Cary set a new Villanova Swim Complex pool record.
