Pirate Nation Again Answers the Call During Historic Giving Day Campaign

South Orange, N.J. - Seton Hall Giving Day 2026, held Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23, was a record-breaking success for Seton Hall Athletics, thanks to an outpouring of support from alumni, friends and family and diehard fans. The athletics department raised 56 percent more funds over 2025 and had 13 percent more donors than last year give during an incredible campaign. In total with challenge matches included, 1,008 donors contributed $764,690 that will go towards supporting Seton Hall student-athletes. Both numbers are department records for the annual two-day campaign.
"On behalf of Seton Hall's student-athletes, coaches and administrators, thank you so much to each and every person in Pirate Nation who contributed to this record-setting campaign," said Bryan Felt, Seton Hall's Director of Athletics and Recreation. "Our success is a collective, effort, and the support that we received will go a long way towards ensuring that we continue to recruit and retain student-athletes, provide them a first-class experience while representing our great University and compete for conference and national championships. Coming off this historic Giving Day with our supportive fanbase behind us, I'm excited about what the future holds for Seton Hall Athletics."
All 14 teams received support during the two-day campaign, headlined by the men's and women's basketball teams, which are in the second year of the revenue share era that is dominating the college athletics landscape. Recognizing the need to support the department's ability to share revenue directly with student-athletes, members of Pirate Nation rallied together to contribute nearly 60 percent of the total funds raised to student-athlete revenue share.
The Pirate Blue Athletic Fund directly supports the Seton Hall Department of Athletics and its student-athletes. Pirate Blue strives to embrace and engage the most dedicated Pirate fans within the Seton Hall community to further promote the passion and camaraderie that makes the University so unique.
