Loren Peterson was promoted to her current position of Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations in July 2022. She has served Seton Hall Athletics for over two decades, including recently as the Associate Athletics Director for Business Affairs from 2017-22.
In her current position, Peterson is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of many aspects of the athletic department inclusive of the overall management of the department's budget operations encompassing financial reporting, long-term and capital planning, forecasting, internal controls, business operations systems, and contract administration. In addition to financial management responsibilities, Peterson oversees the department's human resources, information technology and ticketing and is sport administrator for the volleyball, men's golf and women's golf programs.
Spanning her Pirates career over two time periods, Peterson has served in a multitude of positions from equipment manager and ticket manager early in her tenure to business manager. Peterson arrived at Seton Hall in 1989, left in 1996, but returned in 2004 and has remained in South Orange since.
Prior to her graduation from Adelphi University in 1985, Peterson played softball for the Panthers and guided her team to two College World Series appearances.
Peterson has three children, Kevin, Jenn and Jordan, and currently resides in Whippany, N.J.
