Eugene Smith Holds First-Round Lead at Temple Owl Invitational

As a team, Seton Hall shot a 297 and is tied with Rutgers for second place in the 14-team event. William & Mary, which stands in first place in the team standings with a 296, placed three players in the top 20.
The Pirates also received a strong contribution from freshman Jay Allaghi (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Don Bosco Prep) who shot a one-over-par 72 and stands in a five-way tie for third place.
Other Seton Hall finishers included sophomore Justin Van Hyning (Bordentown, NJ) who shot a 76 (tie 22nd), senior Drew McMahon (Little Falls, NJ) who carded an 80 (tie 38th), and junior Brian McGowan (Cresskill, NJ) who finished with a 90 (68th).
The final round of the Temple Owl Invitational begins on Saturday, October 7 at 9 a.m.
