Seton Hall Men's and Women's Track Teams Compete In Seton Hall Open II

The women were led by sophomore Jana Burton (Queens, NY), as she placed first in the weight throw with a toss of 47'11.75" and first in the shot put with a throw of 47'11.75". Nena Moore (Cherry Hill, NJ) placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 12.07m and second in the long jump with a jump of 5.77m. Nolle Graham (Bronx, NY) took first in the long jump with a leap of 6.24m and tied for first in the 60m dash crossing the finish line in a time of 7.52. Crossing the finish line with Graham was Erica Broomfield (Markham, Ontario) with an identical time of 7.52. Teneka Horton (Chicago, IL) took first in the 500m run with a time of 1:14.69 while Leah Grant (Providence, RI) took third in a time of 1:17.10. The Pirates 4x400 relay took home first with a winning time of 3:42.83.
The men were led by sophomore Mike Roberts (Wilmington, DE), as he placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 15.01m and second in the long jump with a jump of 6.69m. The 4x400 relay team took home the other first place finish for the men as they crossed the finish line with a winning time of 3:14.12. Ned Brooks (North Babylon, NY) took second in the mile run in a time of 4:19.18 and Jeff Young (Camden, NJ) took third in the 60m high hurdles in a time of 8.21.
This was the final regular season meet for the Pirate track teams, as they will compete in the BIG EAST Indoor Championships on Feb. 19-20 at Syracuse Univerisity.
