Golf Places Fifth At William & Mary Tournament

Junior Eugene Smith (Glen Ridge, NJ) finished in a tie for second, one stroke behind the individual winner, Eli Zackheim of Colgate. Smith shot a 70, tying him for second with Yong Joo of Liberty and Jesse Soto of Iona.
The Pirates as a team shot a 297, four strokes behind the winner, Temple University. Old Dominion finished second with 294, Colgate was third at 295 and Liberty placed fourth with a 296.
Other Pirate finishers: Senior Scott Hawley (Shrewsbury, MA) and sophomore Brian McGowan (Cresskill, NJ) each finished tied for 28th with a 75. Sophomore Jonas Forssell (Montvale, NJ) shot a 77, tying him for 58th. Freshman Justin Van Hyning (Bordentown, NJ) shot a 79 and tied for 85th.
The Seton Hall golf team will return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 8-9, at the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, MD.
