Golf Finishes Sixth at Liberty Ramada Classic

PENHOOK, VA - Sophomore Justin Van Hyning (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Regional) shot a 72 Tuesday to finish with a two-day score of 147 and tied for 13th place as the Seton Hall men's golf team placed sixth at the Liberty Ramada Classic at The Water's Edge Country Club.

Penn State won the invitational with a two-day score of 574 (282-292). Seton Hall shot 300 on Monday and 297 on Tuesday.

Senior Eugene Smith (Glen Ridge, NJ/Bergen Catholic) and junior Jonas Forssell (North Plainfield, NJ/ Christian Brothers Academy) each finished in a tie for 18th place, shooting 148 for the tournament. Smith shot a 73 on Monday and a 75 on Tuesday, while Forssell scored a 75 on Monday and a 73 on Tuesday.

Junior Dennis Bosworth (West Orange, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) tied for 31st with a score of 153 (77-76) and senior Drew McMahon (Little Falls, NJ/Passaic Valley Regional) tied for 34th with a total of 154 (77-77).

The golf team returns to action on April 13-14 at the Princeton Invitational at Princeton, NJ.
