McGowan Leads Golf to 8th-Place Finish at Princeton Invitational

With a two-day total of 142, McGowan finished third overall behind Andy Latowski of Penn State and Kevin Campana of Rutgers who both finished at 141. Latowski, who shot a two-under-par 69 in the final round, was the individual champion based on a tie-breaker.
Penn State also capture the team title at the 18-team event with a combined total of 577. Seton Hall, which trailed by just four strokes after shooting a combined total of 290 in the opening round, faded with a 303 in the second round. The Pirates finished with a two-day total of 593.
Other Seton Hall finishers included senior Eugene Smith (Glen Ridge, NJ) who tied for 12th with after shooting 70-76-146. Sophomore Justin Van Hyning (Bordentown, NJ) carded back-to-back rounds of 76 to finish with a 152. Senior Drew McMahon (Little Falls, NJ) shot 73-80-153 while junior Jonas Forssell (North Plainfield, NJ) shot 79-83-162.
The Seton Hall golf team closes out its regular season on April 28-29 at the BIG EAST Championship at Metacomet Country Club in Providence, RI.
