
Women Finish 2nd at ECAC Outdoor Track Championships

PRINCETON, NJ - Junior Nolle Graham (Bronx, NY) won the long jump on Saturday and helped the 4x100-meter relay team to a first-place finish on Sunday to lead the Seton Hall women's track and field team to a second-place finish at the ECAC Outdoor Championships. The men also competed at the IC4A's, finishing in a tie for seventh place.
The women finished with 60 points and the men 34. Georgetown won both the men's and women's championships with 87 and 77 points, respectively.
The men were led by the 4x400-meter relay team of senior Ken Nelson (Port Huron, MI), sophomore Kareem Taylor (Trinidad, West Indies), freshman O.J. Hogans (Decatur, GA) and freshman Dwayne Thomas (Burtonsville, MD). They took home the title in an NCAA Provisional time of 3:05.96.
Graham took the long jump with an NCAA Automatic Qualifying distance of 6.63 meters. She was the anchor of the 4x100-meter relay team which won in a time of 45.62. The relay team also consisted of senior Erica Broomfield (Markham, Ontario), senior Heather Smith (Chicago, IL) and senior Shontee Bryant (Silver Spring, MD).
Broomfield took second in the 100 meters (11.72) and third in the 200 meters (23.82).
The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships begin Monday, May 28 and last through June 2 at Eugene, OR.
