Golf Takes 6th Place At Leo Keenan Invitational

OLEAN, N.Y. - The Seton Hall golf team was in action on Monday as it completed play in the Leo Keenan Invitational at the Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y. The Pirates shot a 612 (312-300) to finish ranked 6th out of fifteen teams. Rider took 1st place followed by host St. Bonaventure in 2nd.
Senior Scott Sanderson (Moscow, Penn.) shot a 149 (74-75) to finish in a tie for 9th place. Junior Mike Byland (Kelowna, B.C.) shot a 152 (76-76) and tied for 19th. Freshman Kyle Morris (Powell Ohio) was one stroke behind with a 153 (80-73), good for a 24th place tie. Junior Dean Gultula (Haskell, N.J.) finished in 52nd place after shooting a 158 (82-76). Freshman Corey Schechter finished with a 160 (84-76) to place in a tie for 60th. Freshman Richard Brazeau (Portsmouth, N.H.) competed as an individual and tied for 56th with a 159 (81-78) score.
Seton Hall golf returns to action on October 15th at the NBT Bank Classic, which will be held in Apalachin, N.Y.
