Golf Competes at McLaughlin Tournament

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall golf team was in action on Friday and Saturday in the 2004 McLaughlin held at the Bethpage Red Course in Bethpage, N.Y. The Pirates shot a 911 (301-306-304) to finish 9th out of nine teams.
Junior Mike Byland (Kelowna, B.C.) finished ranked 19th overall after shooting a 223 (74-73-76). Senior Scott Sanderson (Moscow, Pa.) also finished tied for 19th with a score of 223 (73-75-75). Freshman Kyle Morris (Powell, Ohio) shot a 225 (74-77-74) and finished tied for 26th. Dean Gultula (Haskell, N.J.) tied for 45th after shooting a 240 (80-81-79). Freshman Richard Brazeau (Portsmouth, N.H.) shot a 245 (84-82-79) to finish 47th.
The Pirates return to action next Sunday at the Leo Keenan Invitational, which will be held at the Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y.
