Volleyball Recruits Melissa Bellomy and Stacey Craighead Garner Postseason Accolades

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall volleyball’s two incoming freshmen, Melissa Bellomy (Arlington, Texas) and Stacey Craighead (Roanoke, Va.) both earned a number of postseason honors after leading their respective high schools to state championship during their senior seasons.
Bellomy helped Arlington Martin High School win the Texas District 7-5A Championship, in addition to the 5A State Championship. For her role on Arlington Martin’s championship teams, Bellomy was named to the 7-5A First Team All-District. She was also selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State Academic Team and earned the James W. Martin High School Highest GPA/Outstanding Scholar Athlete Award.
Craighead was a member of Cave Spring High School’s undefeated Region III and State Championship Team. Craighead’s stellar play led to her being selected to the First Team All-Region and All-State, and was named the State AA Player of the Year and Region III Player of the Year. She also received two national distinctions, being named to Prep Volleyball’s Senior Aces List and was listed as a Prep Volleyball All-American.
