With Seton Hall leading the match 2-0, the Pirates started game three strong, taking a 10-5 advantage. The Colonials went on a 5-0 run to tie the game, but Seton Hall scored the next five points to make it 15-10. Robert Morris responded by going on a 6-0 run to take their first lead of the match at 16-15. The Colonials extended the lead to 26-18 and went on to win game three.
In game four, the Pirates jumped out to a 13-7 lead, but Robert Morris tried to come back, cutting the Seton Hall lead to 17-15. The Pirates added to their lead at 20-16, but the Colonials hung around and tied the game at 28-28. Seton Hall regrouped and Matters scored the next two points with a kill and a service ace to seal the victory.
