APALACHIN, N.Y.- The Seton Hall golf team finished third for the second consecutive week at the NBT Collegiate Classic, hosted by Binghamton University. The Pirates shot a +38 (598) for the weekend and were only 14 shots away from the first place team of St. Bonaventure. Sophomore Rich Brazeau (Portsmouth, N.H) was Seton Hall’s top finisher. Brazeau finished in seventh place with a +7 (147) for the weekend.
Freshman David Sampson (Warren, R.I) tied for eighth, posting a +8 (148. Freshman Ryan Castanet (McDonald, Pa.) shot a +9, good enough for a tie for 11th place. Junior Kyle Morris (Powell, Ohio) tied for 28th place, scoring a +14 (154). Sophomore John Zur (Glenview, Ill.) finished tied for 49th place with a +19 (159).
St. Bonaventure’s Ryan Swanson took the individual tournament honors, posting a -3 (137).
The Pirates return to action at the BIG EAST MAC Challenge on Nov. 4-Nov. 6 in Orlando, Fla.
