After dropping the first match 30-17, Seton Hall evened the match at one game a piece in game two. The Pirates pulled away from the Bearcats with a 7-1 run to take a 16-10 lead. Seton Hall extended the lead to seven with a Kelly Widders (Dublin, Ohio) kill to make it 20-13, but Cincinnati responded by going on a 14-2 run to capture the lead 28-25. The Pirates were facing match point at 29-27, but capitalized on a Bearcat attack error to force a side-out. Seton Hall scored the next three points and won the game after two Meyers kills.
