Volleyball Drops Season Opener to UT-Arlington 3-0

Game one was mostly controlled by UT-Arlington, but the Pirates never seemed to go away. After the Mavericks tried to pull away, going ahead 14-8, Seton Hall came back to within three points making the game 20-17. However, that was as close as SHU got in the opening game.
In the second game, the Pirates stayed close with UT-Arlington until the Mavericks jumped to an 18-11 lead. Seton Hall tried to put together a run but they never could catch UT-Arlington, falling by a score of 30-22.
It looked like the Pirates had turned things around at the beginning of game three. Seton Hall led most of the way until the Mavericks found a way to take a 21-20 lead and began to pull away. However, the Pirates tied the score at 27 and then again at 29, but it was not enough as UT-Arlington took the third game 31-29.
The Pirates are back in action twice on Saturday, August 26, at the Delaware Invitational, when they face the host Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens at
