
Volleyball Falls to Hofstra

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. The Seton Hall volleyball team fell to 1-3 on the season after losing their first game of the Hofstra Invitational on Friday night. Hofstra defeated the Pirates, 3-1 (30-16, 27-30, 30-25, 30-17). The win was the first of the season for the Pride who are now 1-3 on the season.

The Pirates dropped the first game 30-16, then bounced back to win the second game 30-27. In that game Seton Hall fell behind 12-5 but then rallied to a 6-0 run to cut the Hofstra lead to two at 13-11. The Pride then tried to separate themselves from the Pirates, taking a 25-21 lead; but Seton Hall went on another run to take a 26-25 lead and then held on to win 30-27. After a close game three, Hofstra went on to finish the match in game four, winning by a score of 30-17.
