Volleyball Suffers First Home Loss

In game one, the Pirates jumped out to an early 9-5 lead. The Irish then mounted a 13-1 run on their way to a 30-20 win. Notre Dame took a 20-13 lead in game two, but Seton Hall rallied to cut the deficit to 21-19, leading to an Irish timeout. Notre Dame responded with a 9-3 run to win game two 30-22. In game three, the Pirates looked strong at the start, taking an 8-5 lead, but the Irish were able to put together another run, taking the next seven points and the lead at 12-8. The Pirates tried to come back, cutting the Notre Dame lead to four at 23-19, but the Irish held off Seton Hall, as they took game three and the match.
The Pirates are back in action again tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 1, as they take on the DePaul Blue Demons at 2:00 p.m.
