HARTFORD, Conn. The golf team finished in ninth place at the Hawks Invitational.  Sophomore John Zur (Glenview, Ill.) finished in a tie for 16^th place, shooting a +6 222 (75, 71, 76).  The Pirates had a team score of +58 922 (313, 302, 307).

Juniors Kyle Morris (Powell, Ohio) and Rich Brazeau (Portsmouth, N.H.) tied for 41^st place and shot +16 (232) for the tournament. Senior Sam Kenward (Worcestershire, England) tied for 48^thplace with a score of +22 (238), and freshman David Sampson finished +31 (243) to take 55^th place.

Campbell University won the tournament with a score of -14 (856).  Campbell University’s Kyle Spahr won the overall tournament by shooting a -15 (201) for the weekend.

The Pirates compete again next weekend, Sept. 15 and 16, at the Rutgers Invitational at the Rutgers University Golf Course.
