
Seton Hall Unveils New Fitness Center

President Monsignor Robert Sheeran, Executive Vice President for Administration Sister Paula Marie Buley, Director of Athletics and Recreational Services Joe Quinlan and student government president Phil Carpentier each cut the ribbon marking the official opening of the facility.
“We thank God for this room, it is a part of a great university community,” Monsignor Sheeran said. “Our bodies are temples for the holy spirit. They are sacred, so the way we take care of them is in line with our relationship with the Lord.”
The center includes two rooms of the newest equipment from premium brands, Precor and Nautilus Nitro. It boasts treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes and step climbers as well as an array of strength training equipment, including resistance machines and free weights.
“Building a fitness center is a team sport,” Sister Buley said. Many individuals in this room today played a huge role in making this facility a reality. This is only a part of our on-going athletics renovations and we look forward to holding more ribbon-cutting ceremonies in the future.”
