Greg Gomes Track and Field

 

Junior Greg Gomes (Somerset, N.J) earned a spot in the BIG EAST and IC4A Championships for the third straight week after finishing the 400 meter in 48.60, good enough for second place at the Greater Boston Invitational.  Gomes is the reigning 500 meter BIG EAST Indoor Champion and earned the right to defend his crown at the Carleton Crowell Invitational two weeks ago with a time of 1:04.2.  The Pirates return to action on Friday, Jan. 26, at the Metropolitan Championships.
