Osmun Selected BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. Freshman Sarah Osmun (Crystal Lake, Ill.) earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks after helping the Pirates go 1-1 last weekend.
Osmun registered two double-doubles, averaged 5.38 kills per game, and racked up 105 attack attempts in just two matches. Against Louisville, she posted a team-best 18 kills and added 13 digs. She followed that up with a 25 kill and 13 dig performance, both team-highs, to help the Pirates defeat Cincinnati in a thrilling five-game match. Seton Hall is 8-3 when Osmun posts a double-double on the season.
South Florida’s Marcela Gurgel was tabbed as Player of the Week.
