
Castanet in the Hunt at MacDonald Cup

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After 18-holes of play the Seton Hall golf team is tied for eighth place at the MacDonald Cup after shooting a team score of 304. Sophomore Ryan Castanet (McDonald, Pa.) shot an even par, 71, and is tied for fifth place, two shots back of Taylor Hakes of Yale.
Senior Kyle Morris (Powell, Ohio) and sophomore David Sampson (Warren, R.I.) are both tied for 51st after shooting a +6 (77) on Saturday. Junior John Zur (Glenview, Ill.) and freshman Colin Van Es (Granger, Ind.) shot an identical, +8 (79), and are tied for 84th place.
The Pirates have one more day at the MacDonald Cup on Sunday, Oct. 7.
