Brian Laing, Men’s Basketball

Senior Brian Laing is the SHUPirates.com Athlete of the Week for the second straight week. He was named to BIG EAST Player of the Week for the first time in his career after being named The Philly Hoop Group Classic MVP. Laing averaged 20.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and two assists, while guiding the Pirates to a 3-0 record, including a, 74-60, victory over No. 23 Virginia in the “Classic Independence Bracket” championship game.
