Pirates look to improve in '08-'09 season

The Pirates are looking to continue the successes of last season with a mix of veteran leadership and young talent.

Reigning MACHA Coach of the Year, Jerry Petrucci will lead the Pirates into the season with the help of 18 returning players including captain Zach Cutrell (Ligonier, PA) and assistant captains Colin Boyle (Kent, OH) and Bob Patlen (Kinnelon, NJ).

The Pirates will be aided by the talent of 7 incoming freshmen.  The freshmen class consists of former standouts from St. Peter’s Prep Tim Miller (Bayonne, NJ) and Lance Aligo (Hoboken, NJ).  Joining them is Tyler Mannino (North Babylon, NY) of the Long Island Rebels Jr A club.  Rounding out the list of freshmen forwards are Sean McFadden (Egg Harbor, NJ), a former starter for St. Augustine Prep in South Jersey, JD Tom (South Brunswick, NJ) out of South Brunswick HS, and Rob Soper (Middlesex, NJ) out of St. Joe’s Metuchen.

On defense, the Pirates have added freshman Pat O’Shea (South Brunswick, NJ) from South Brunswick HS.
