Pirates move to 4-1

The Pirates took 2 games at home this weekend over Muhlenberg and Rowan to extend the winning streak to 3 games and move to 4-1 on the season.
The first game of the weekend was an offensive explosion as the Pirates blasted the Muhlenberg Mules for 13 goals and 13 assists en route to a 13-3 victory. Eight different Pirates scored goals, including a hat-trick from freshman Lance Aligo (#10).
Joining Lance was freshman Sean McFadden (#12) who scored 2 goals and 2 assists to finish the game with 4 points. In net junior Ryan Doud (#32) saved 27 of 30 shots in a solid effort. Also getting in on the action with points in the game were Zach Cutrell (#27), Tim Miller (#15), Bob Patlen (#7), John Dwyer (#17), Brian Slattery (#26), Colin Fox (#13), Tyler Mannino (#18), Myles Robinson (#14), Rob Soper (#22). Also tallying his first point in a Pirate uniform was senior Mason Robbins (#9).
The Pirates kept up the momentum in the second game of the weekend by beating league opponents
Lance Aligo continued what he started the night before by giving the Pirates a 1-0 lead half-way through the first period. Rowan would go on to take a 2-1 lead into the second period, but the game would belong to the Pirates from there on out. The Pirate D held Rowan to 2 shots in the second period and Colin Fox would pull the Pirates equal with a goal at the 15:58 mark in the period. John Dwyer would put the Pirates ahead with goal at the 14:37 mark in the third period and Fox would score the game winner at the 11:28 mark to seal the 5-3 victory. Also tallying points in the game were Bob Patlen, Tyler Mannino, Rob Soper, Zach Cutrell, and Tim Miller. Miller’s goal with 3:18 to go kept him on pace with Cutrell as they retain their spots as #1 and #2 in the team points total; Cutrell with 12 and Miller with 11.
Between the pipes sophomore Chris Borkes (#42) made a stunning debut, stopping 19 of 22 shots and allowing only 1 goal over the last 42 minutes of the game.
The Pirates face the undefeated leaders of the MACHA this weekend when they hit the road to take on
