
Volleyball Signs Three New Recruits

“Meghan is a long, athletic, lefty who has played and won at the highest levels in club and high school,” Zeiter said. She will add depth at the opposite position and should challenge for playing time as a freshman.”
Thornquist faced Matusiak’s team in the Illinois Class AAA State Championship last season and took the title. A former teammate of Sarah Osmun (
“Rachael is a dynamic athlete who is just learning to play the outside hitter position,” stated Zeiter. “She is only going to improve and will be a very good outside hitter at this level.”
Wrobel is a 6-2 middle-blocker who Prep Volleyball (Top 200) named an honorable mention recruit. She won back-to-back
“Krissy will add much needed size to our team,” said Zeiter. “She is a strong and athletic middle with a tremendous upside.”
The Pirates finished the 2007 campaign with a 16-12 overall record and a 6-8 mark in BIG EAST play.
