Golf Ties for Fifth at Spring Invitational

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Seton Hall golf team finished tied for fifth place at the Spring Invitational, on Tuesday. The Pirates had a 36-hole total of 597, but were 15 strokes off the pace they set on Monday. Sophomore John Zur (Glenview, Ill.) was Seton Hall's low-scorer shooting a +1, 145 (73, 72) to tie for eighth place.
Freshman David Sampson (Warren, R.I.) struggled on Tuesdy after a strong first round, and finished with a +5, 145 (71, 77), to tie for 13th. Junior Kyle Morris (Powell, Ohio) tied for 17th, with a +6, 149 (72, 77).
Junior Richard Brazeau (Portsmouth, N.H.) finished tied for 40th, shooting a 156 (75, 81). Freshman Ryan Castanet (McDonald, Pa.) rounded out the Pirates top five, with a 52nd place finish, scoring a 158 (78, 80).
Up next for the Pirates is the George Washington Invitational in Bethany Beach, Del. on Mar. 24-25.
