Golf Team Inks a New Recruit

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall men's golf coach Clay White has announced the signing of high school senior Colin Van Es to a National Letter of Intent. Van Es, a native of Granger, Ind., was a 2005 US Open Local Qualifier after shooting a two-under par 69 at the South Bend Country club.
The soon-to-be graduate of Marian High School in Mishawaka, Ind. has been a team captain for three seasons, holds a scoring average of 72.9 and has won four tournaments since the spring of '05. Van Es shot a sectional record, 67, en route to leading Marian to a sectional title in 2006.
The 2007 Pirate golf team will compete at the BIG EAST Championships beginning Sunday, Apr. 22 at Louisville, Ky.
