
Seven Named To Athletics Department Posts

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The Seton Hall athletic department announced the hiring of the following staff members on Friday:
Joanna Borawski has been named Assistant Track & Field Coach. Borawski competed for the Pirates last season and excelled in the javelin. Seton Hall’s all-time record holder with a throw of 45.66 meters, she won four javelin events last year and was an All-BIG EAST performer and NCAA regional qualifier. Borawski, a 2006 graduate of
Damien Franolich, ATC has been named Assistant Athletic Trainer. Franolich comes to Seton Hall from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he was an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the last three years. His hiring represents a return to Seton Hall as he served as an athletic training student and part-time trainer for the Pirates while completing his Masters of Science in 2004. He received a Bachelor of Science from
Victor Kotynski has been named Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. A 2006 Seton Hall graduate and student-athlete, Kotynski’s teams made four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament. A leader on the BIG EAST runner-up squad in 2004, he captained the team that finished ranked in the Top 25 nationally in 2005. Kotynski has experience playing professionally and as a soccer coach and camp counselor.
John Marshall has been promoted to Assistant Track & Field Coach. Marshall, a 1984 Olympian, has been a member of Head Coach John Moon’s track & field coaching staff for the last four years, but will now serve full-time. A former All-American at
Joseph Montefusco has been named Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. A 2004 graduate of
Elvis Valcarcel has been promoted to Men’s Basketball Administrative Assistant. Last season, he served on Head Coach Bobby Gonzalez’s staff as Video Coordinator. A 2006
Allison Yaeger has been named Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach. Yaeger joins Seton Hall after serving two seasons as an Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach at
