
Volleyball Blanked by Notre Dame, 3-0

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Seton Hall volleyball team suffered its third consecutive sweep after falling to Notre Dame (30-19, 30-20, 30-25) on Saturday. Freshman Sarah Osmun (Crystal Lake, Ill.) had a team-best 19 kills and nine digs.
The Pirates (9-7: 0-3 BE) went ahead 9-7 to start the match, but the Fighting Irish used an 8-2 run to take over the lead at 15-11 and never looked back, winning the first game, 30-19.
Notre Dame took game two, 30-20, and got off to another fast start in the third frame, jumping out to a 10-7 lead. Seton Hall was able to hang in the game, but the Irish broke away after making the score 22-17 and finished the sweep.
Sophomore Stacey Craighead (Roanoke, Va.) had 10 kills in her first significant playing time since going down with an injury early in the season. Junior Brittany Rahrer (Fort Wayne, Ind.) had 37 assists.
The Pirates will look for their first BIG EAST win tomorrow when they take on DePaul in Chicago, Ill. Game-time is set for 2:00 p.m.
