
Volleyball Can?t Solve Notre Dame; Falls 3-0

Seton Hall held a 10-7 advantage to get things started, but could not extend the lead on the Irish (11-11; 6-3). Notre Dame put together a 5-1 run to take its first lead of the set, 15-14, and eventually pushed the advantage to 18-15 after an ace. The Irish continued to roll the rest of the way, outscoring the Pirates 8-4 to close out the frame.
SHU struggled to get anything established to begin the second set, and fell behind, 14-7. Notre Dame led by as many as 11 points, but the Pirates rallied to go on a 10-2 run to close within, 23-19. However, the comeback was too late as the Irish held on for the 25-20 victory.
In the third set, the Hall hung with the Irish most of the way, but Notre Dame eventually pushed its advantage to 19-14. SHU rallied to make it a 23-19 contest, but once again the rally was in vain, and the Irish finished the sweep.
The Pirates will hit the road to take on
