
Volleyball Announces 2009 Recruiting Class

"I could not be happier with this recruiting class.” stated Zeiter. “All three of these signees should see significant court time right away. In addition, they are all very good students and will be positive influences on the Seton Hall community."
Devries is a 6-3 middle blocker who has been a four year starter at
"Morgan is going to add much needed size and physicality to our team next season.” Zeiter said. “She is an exceptionally athletic player who should dominate at this level. I expect her to play significant time and, hopefully, fill the void left by Tricia Meyers."
A 6-0 outside-hitter, Hugeback was a “Senior Ace: Honorable Mention player by Prepvolleyball.com, and a four-year starter. She was just named Regional Player of the Year as she guided her team to the State semifinals.
"Hannah is an extremely athletic outside hitter.” said Zeiter. “She has very good ball control skills and a good arm. I expect her to improve very quickly and push our outsides for playing time. She will add intensity and competitiveness to our team."
Trudeau is a decorated 5-9 setter who was also called a “Senior Ace” “Senior Ace: Honorable Mention by Prepvolleyball.com. A four-year team captain, she was MaxPreps.com national assist per game leader and San Luis Obispo County Player of the Year. Trudeau was a Prepvolleyball.com Sophomore Player of the Year finalist and was MVP of her league (Pac 7) in 2006.
"Olivia will be relied upon right away to contribute at the setter position.” Zeiter said. “She comes from a great setting background (her mother, Claudia, set for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo). She is very athletic and competitive and has been a full-time starter her entire career. I expect big things from Olivia in her time at Seton Hall."
The Pirates will return 10 key contributors as they look to improve from a 14-15 season in 2008.
