Alexandra McCoy, Track and Field

Junior Alexandra McCoy won the 500-meter dash at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational after clocking in at 1:13.00. She was the only Pirate to place first at the event where some of the nation’s toughest teams like Tennessee, Ohio State, and Villanova were competing. McCoy currently holds the second fastest qualifying time in the 500-meter dash at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships which will be held from February 23-24 at the Armory in New York City.
