PHILADELPHIA, Pa. The Seton Hall track and field team ran at the Penn Relays over the weekend. A pair of freshman Shakia Forbes (Rocky Mount, N.C.) and Nick Frimpong (East Hartford, Conn.), along with the men’s 4x400-meter relay team’s performance highlighted the Pirates’ time a the competition

Forbes won the long jump in the Eastern Division, hitting an NCAA Regional mark of 6.30 meters in the event. Frimpong was victorious in the high jump, matching his NCAA Regional jump of 2.10 meters in the Eastern Division of the event.

The squad of Bryan Burney (Mebane, N.C.), James Gurr (Sydney, Australia), Dwight Crooks (Bronx, N.Y.), and Greg Gomes (Somerset, N.J.) ran their best time of the season (3:09.33) to earn a spot in the NCAA Regionals as well.
