DES MOINES, Iowa Six members of the Seton Hall track & field team competed in the 2008 NCAA Division I National Championships held at Drake University. Senior Greg Gomes (Somerset, N.J.) participated in the 400m dash and junior Rob Novak (Bordentown, N.J.) took part in the 800m race, while senior Janeille Brathwaite (Christ Church, Barbados), junior Alexandra McCoy (Goldsboro, N.C.), and sophomores Toneisha Friday (Somerset, N.J.) and Jernail Hayes (Newark, Del.) ran in the 4x400m relay.
Gomes posted a time of 47.32 seconds in the National Preliminary, while Novak ran a 1:50.96 in the same round. The women’s relay team clocked in at 3:34.18, good for 11th in the preliminary but not enough to advance.
