
Morris, Zur Named 2008 Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

A total of 96 players earned the honor in Division I and 26 in Division II. To be eligible for Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II and 79.0 in Division III and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Morris completed his career at Seton Hall last season as one of the top Pirate golfers in school history. A four-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star, he tied for fourth individually at the 2008 BIG EAST Championships guiding Seton Hall to a third place team finish. Morris won three tournaments in his career and recorded the lowest single-round score in school history with a 63 in the second round of the Treasure Coast Classic on
Zur enters the 2008-09 season as the lone senior on the squad. A three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star, he has competed in all of the possible 35 tournaments over the last three years. A consistent low-scorer for the Pirates, Zur placed third individually at the Big Five Classic for his best individual finish last season.
